In the MUST Renewable Energy summer program, you will be part of a multidisciplinary team working to solve a real challenge for one of our clients. Together with your team, you will be responsible for planning, managing and executing the project and communicating with the client, guided by experienced mentors from Multiconsult. This will give you the opportunity to get updated on the newest developments in the renewable energy field and understand how it is to work as a consultant. Not least, you will get the chance to conduct field work on site and interact with stakeholders at an exciting destination.
What will you be doing in Must Renewable Energy?
The project is likely to be related to solar power, hydropower, wind power, power systems and/or economic/financial, environmental and social analysis.
In previous years, the students have worked on projects within hydropower, solar power and power system analysis, in Norway, Asia and Africa. The MUST Renewable Energy 2021 team worked on a study of a renewable energy system for an arctic environment in Svalbard, evaluating solutions such as solar PV, wind power, battery, hydrogen, energy efficiency, geothermal, and more.
Who are we looking for?
We primarily seek third and fourth year students within renewable energy related studies, including (but not limited to): structural engineering, mechanical engineering, electrical engineering, hydropower, solar PV, wind power, hydrology and hydraulics, meteorology, energy planning, smart systems and batteries, geotechnical engineering, geology, environment, social sciences, economics, business management and finance.
